Hi!
Here is my new cool Mail button that you can use on your website to allow visitors to send you emails with a simple click! You can download the images below for free and add the one you prefer to your own blog or website:
The instructions that you need to follow in order to add a mailto HTML command to the button image can be found on the W3school website. The general HTML code to use to open the visitor’s default email client (Outlook ,Mail, Thunderbird etc.) to allow him/her to send an email to the email address someone@gmail.com is the following:
<a href="mailto:someone@gmail.com?subject=Hello%20Friend"> Send Mail </a>
Note: in the subject field, spaces between words should be replaced by %20 to ensure that the browser will display your text properly.
Once you have uploaded the button image to your own website (or some third party hosting like Twitpic or imageshack) simply get the link to the location where the image is and add the mailto HTML code as in the following example:
<a href="mailto:someone@gmail.com?subject=Hello%20Friend"><img src="http://your_website_address.com/images/Mail_button.png" alt="Mail button" /></a>
Note. Remember to change from the previous HTML code: 1. the someone@gmail.com address with your own email address; 2. the subject to what you would like to receive as subject and 3. the link to the location where your button image is hosted.
Enjoy and please leave feedback!
